This was the winning poster design for Summer 2016 for the WC Handy Music Festival in Florence, Alabama.

The design was featured on the Music Festival's website and Facebook for the year. It was also printed on T-shirts, posters and flyers during the festival.

The design inspiration for this poster came from my interpretation of blues music. Blues music is represented here as a Resonator Guitar with the neck and strings of the guitar transforming into a tree. The guitar serves as the roots , the heart and soul of the tree, just as blues music is the heart and soul of music in the southeast. Music notes flow out of the guitar like the Tennessee and Mississippi Rivers.
